She accepts insurance, has a discounted rate for Medicaid clients, and offers a low cost virtual clinic on Wednesdays for basic breastfeeding support.

Amy Harvick, APRN, IBCLC is a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, Certified Childbirth Educator, and an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
She started BabyFirst Lactation and Wellness in 2011 as a side business to assist new mothers, but after retiring from Orlando Health / South Lake Hospital in 2020, Amy has devoted her time to the growth of her business and furthering the support of women in her community.
She has taught Establishing Breastfeeding, Childbirth Education, and Newborn Care through her office located in Clermont.
Amy regularly meets with pregnant and new women and provides Prenatal Breastfeeding Consultations. She can provide breastfeeding and pumping plans, plans for returning to work, exclusive pumping, combo feeding, and starting solid foods.
BabyFirst Lactation and Wellness’ mission is to educate and support pregnant and new mothers, empower women, and help babies to thrive.
Amy accepts some insurances through the Lactation Network and Wildflower Health. She offers a sliding scale for those without lactation-covering insurances, or self-payment.

Certified Breastfeeding Counselor
Clarice offers postpartum lactation support which can include making sure the baby has a proper latch, troubleshooting common breastfeeding issues or concerns, storing milk properly, proper flange fit for breast pumps, how to use and clean your pump, managing or adjusting milk supply when needed, weaning the baby, and any other questions you might have.
